A New Era for Hopkins Mainstreet Day
JCI’s Mainstreet Day
For 38 years, JCI Hopkins (formerly Hopkins Jaycees) has hosted the Mainstreet Day Arts & Craft Fair in downtown Hopkins. As JCI is closing its chapter this year, they have selected Hopkins Education Foundation to take over the reins of this enduring, beloved arts and craft fair.
Starting this May, Hopkins Education Foundation will continue the legacy set forth by JCI in hosting Mainstreet Day.
Just what is the Hopkins Education Foundation, you might ask? We are a non-profit supporting Hopkins School District 270. Led by a volunteer Board of Directors, we raise money to kickstart learning for Hopkins Public Schools. One of the main ways we give back to Hopkins Public Schools is through our Spark Grants. Awarded twice a year, Spark Grants enable Hopkins teachers to create innovative classroom projects and gather the resources necessary to expand their educational offerings to students.

Another way we help the District is through our annual, districtwide special projects. In the past we have supported mental health, computer science and outdoor learning initiatives. Finally, we also support students directly through the Awesome Fund, which provides modest grants to student clubs.
Our annual events include our 21+ Rock-n-Royal block party in September, our Royal Bash gala in March, and our new Golf Scramble in June. We also have our bi-annual teacher appreciation Gratitude Gifts. Join our email list to learn more and receive notifications about our events and other fundraisers.
