Date Night Drop Off with Mess Hall Arts

Join us at Rock-n-Royal 2026 on Saturday, September 26, in Downtown Park in Hopkins from 5-10 p.m.

Each year, we invite the community to gather with us for our annual 21+ school year kickoff, celebrating our Hopkins Public Schools community and the start of a new school year. Rock-n-Royal attendees enjoy live music from three bands, a cornhole tournament, yard games, and a cash bar. Ticket price includes food and drinks from local vendors.

Gather with Hopkins community and district leaderes, parents, teachers, and caregivers for a grown up night out!

Meet the new superintendent and HHS principal from 6-7 p.m.

New this year: Date Night Drop Off childcare at Mess Hall Arts (details below). Sign ups close Friday night.

Cornhole Tournament

Sign up for the annual Hopkins Education Foundation cornhole tournament at Rock-N-Royal on September 26! We'll have a total of 16 teams (with 4 people max per team). The tournament starts promptly at 7 p.m., with bracket play continuing every 20mins until the tournament champion is announced. Play to 21 points.

First prize is a trophy and gift card to Nachos Mexican Grill in Hopkins.

Convenient Childcare

Thank you to Mess Hall Arts for partnering with us for Date Night Drop off on Saturday, September 26, from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. for children ages 5 and up. Mess Hall Arts is an unconventional art studio where their specialty is messy art. Mess Hall Arts is located next to Downtown Park, location of Rock-n-Royal.

Modern classic rock band mixing originals and covers. Comprised of a few Hopkins dads and a uncle.

Man Down
6:45-8:15 p.m.

Born in the Twin Cities, Man Down is an Americana outfit that blends the grit of rock, the soul of R&B, and the storytelling heart of country. Their sound is a mix of twang and groove, where pedal steel shimmers over driving rhythms and dual vocals carry tales fit for dive bars, backyards, and open highways.
