WHAT: Gather your whole family for a day out on the farm! Hosted by Jack and Betsy McCann of TC Farm, the event will include a lunch of locally-produced organic brats and light sides. We'll kick things off in the late morning on June 6 (exact timing TBD) with a tour of Elizabeth and Ian’s farm near Northfield, where they raise all of the eggs and the heritage red ranger breed of chicken for TC Farm. Guests will meet the farmers, see how they raise the highest-quality poultry, and get to know their flocks of gorgeous, pasture-raised chickens. As you enjoy lunch on the pasture, founding farmer Jack will lead a presentation and discussion about how the local food system really works. Bring kids, picnic blankets, chairs... lawn games are also welcome!
